We hope that you will want to help the Friends make the 16th Annual Turkey Plunge a success! This event provides an opportunity for community members and visitors to “Splash for Cash.” Plungers ask friends and family to pledge money to the Friends of the Shelter Island Public Library to sponsor their Plunge into the Peconic Bay. This is an all-volunteer effort that generates enthusiasm, entertainment, and support from the community to benefit the Friends of the Library in their mission to support our local library.

To that end, we are asking for an underwriting gift which will enable us to move forward with the planning and execution of the plunge. Your gift will help cover advertising costs, as well as T-shirts and hot cider and donuts for the participants. Your support will be listed on the T-shirts which will feature a logo designed by Peter Waldner. All donations are tax-deductible.
