The Museum is closed on New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (Closes Early), and Christmas.

As of May 1, 2026, each pass is good for 2 guests with a 50% discount for 4 additional guests.

The pass grants free admission to two adults per visit. Guests of Library Pass holders are $15.

Regular admission is $20 for adults and $15 for guests of members.

Children 18 & under, college students, veterans, active-duty military, SNAP recipients, and Shinnecock Nation residents are free.

Pass may not be used to attend the Spring Fling, Art Splash, or Midsummer Party fundraisers.

The museum shop and cafe is open during museum hours and library patrons may enjoy 10% off by showing their Library Membership Card.

The Southold Historical Museum

The museum is closed for New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day, as well as the first Wednesday of the month for maintenance. We may also close all or part of the day if we have school field trips scheduled. Families are encouraged to check the calendar on www.sofo.org before making a reservation.

Pass gives free admission to museum exhibits for the pass holder and their children as well as 10% discount on all gift shop items.

The pass does not include free admission to museum walks, talks, presentations or other programs. Program admission fees will apply in addition to any program fees.
