Walker will lead a discussion on what makes a poem endure, the qualities within a poem that give it lasting power to communicate, and the nature of our republic.
Guest speakers will be George Held, a master of poetic forms; Robert Savino, former Suffolk County Poet Laureate; and Emily Ragusa O'Reilly, a former Bliss Morehead Poetry contest winner.
