Shelter Island Book Club - This is Happiness by Niall Williams Tuesday, July 8th, 4:30 pm (at the Shelter Island History Museum)
Change is coming to Faha, a small Irish parish that hasn't changed in a thousand years. For one thing, the rain is stopping. Nobody remembers when it started; But now – just as Father Coffey proclaims the coming of electricity – the rain clouds are lifting. This Is Happiness is a portrait of a community – a coming-of-age tale like no other.
